OIT Computer Labs
OIT maintains computer labs across West, East and Central campuses. The many details are summarized under OIT Computer Labs at Duke.
A few relevant points for Sociology department members concerning labs:
Labs may be reserved for class use by online, where the current schedule of each lab can be viewed.
- Login to lab systems is by NetID, so setting up student accounts should never be an issue.
- Labs have one or more network printers with Eprint services.
- Most have some level of AV support with projection devices, docking stations, etc. Check each lab description for specifics.
When not reserved, labs are open for general use. Physical access may be restricted by DukeCard.
Sociology/Psychology, Room 133 is the location for twenty-one 21" iMac dual boot systems running Windows and OS X.
Old Chem, Room 101 is the location for thirty-one 21.5" iMac dual boot systems running Windows and OS X.
- OIT labs may be a good place to schedule undergraduate methods and statistics sessions. Schedule use well in advance to ensure availability. Check specific labs to verify that needed software is available.
